Hmm, thoughts…

• That whole bit with the wife spontaneously combusting on the ceiling in the pilot was what threw me off of the show in the first place. At time SPN was first airing, scary shit with Christian references just wasn’t my thing, and the way CW was advertising it was not gonna get me to watch it. Now that I’m more or less over my fear of Christian mythology, not really all that scary.
• One thing I liked was that the Monster of the Week was something I hadn’t really heard of before and didn’t really consider a monster. I hadn’t heard of such a thing as a “Woman in White”, not named as such anyway. I just thought of them as ghosts.
• The boys are extremely comfortable with lying. It shows that they’ve been trained well.
• Speaking of that, I like how they point out how messed up their upbringing was, yet still continued on despite that. From what I hear, this will be a continuing plot point throughout the season, so I like that they’re bringing it up now. Points towards the show having a decent grasp of continuity.
• Overall, the show looks interesting enough. The brothers banter is ok, and the special effects are pretty good. Not much action tho, but it is the pilot. Guess we’ll have to see. 
• Also, totally called that ending.

Yaaay! I hope you stick with it. I mean, the first season is a little rough at first and you’re kinda like, “Ho hum, alright” and don’t really get what’s so great about it, but…you’ll get there, I promise. 

Also: “Dad’s on a hunting trip…and he hasn’t been home in a few days.” because chills. 

The Season One finale is when EVERYTHING changes, so you better get ready!
